Welcome to the Nature in Picture blog. If you’re reading this post, you’re in the right place, because over the next couple of years, I’ll be working hard to share with you everything I’ve learned in Nature Photography.
This blog will not focus on a specific art of nature photography; rather, I will use it to share what I learn as I continue to progress in this passion. Nature has been a passion for me since a young age, and nature photography has allowed me to share this passion with those around me: friends, family, and now to everyone on the internet. While I usually carry out this passion alone, in the reflective silence of the outdoors, this blog will allow me to make something constructive of the long hours spent in the field.
While I enjoy all parts of nature photography equally, such as landscape, wildlife and macro, what I really prefer is the adventure linked with nature photography. Each time I am out with my camera, whether it a several days expedition or a two hour outing, I feel in my happy moment enjoying a little time alone to reflect and absorb the benefits of nature. I believe that you must capture your feelings of moment in an image to produce work you will be happy with, and for me that feeling is usually the peacefulness of being outdoors.
My aims for the future:
With Covid-19 hitting us hard over the last few weeks, we have all been forced to remain at home. While this is an unexpected challenge, it is also an opportunity for many of us to dive deeper into other passions, and for me that is Nature Photography. With current regulation authorising us to head outdoors, the following few weeks will challenge me to further explore the environment around me, and the first aim I want to achieve is to better understand the behaviour of roe deers. With this additional time available, I want to dive deeper into photography, but also spend more time setting up this blog (which is harder than I thought it would be).
Over the next few months, I want to work on the foundations of sharing my learning experience, with the aim of publishing interactive blog posts every two weeks. I further want to interact with people just like you by creating a community of photographers who are learning nature photography just like I am. In order to achieve this, I will set up efficient ways of communication, as well as an emailing list you will be able to join.
So, if you enjoyed this first blog post, make sure to stay tuned for updates and new blog posts!
