“Not all those who wander are lost” – J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of The Ring.

Here’s what the blog is about:

I believe that a successful photo requires you to capture that emotion you feel. Without that emotion, you have limited artistic possibilities; however, when it is harnessed, your possibilities are boundless. I began photography in order to share this incredible emotion with those around them, as nature photography is often conducted alone and in silence. When you pour sweat and emotions into a photography, it can only be a product of the moment you spent out there, in nature.

Wildlife – as the name suggests – is wild, and while it should not be disturbed, finding it can be hard and frustrating to find. Fortunately for us photographers, each species has its own behaviors which can help guide us to them. Their behaviors can also teach us how to protect them, and ensure that they are not disturbed while we capture the beauty they provide us with.

DSLRs have existed since 1969, when Willard Boyle and George Smith invented the first camera that used a digital sensor. However, they do not systematically produce perfect images, and understanding how their settings work is not intuitive to beginners. However, using the manual mode can really enhance an image’s artistic possibilities, and learning how to use the manual mode is crucial in your photographic journey.

Photography isn’t only about taking pictures in the field, it’s also about working behind the computer. As a general rule of thumb, I recommend spending spending one third of your time editing. Unfortunately for those like me who love spending their time outdoors, editing is a crucial step in the development of your artwork, and should not be overlooked. While it’s my least favourite part of photography, editing is so important and hard to learn that it will be a strong focus of this blog.

Photography does not just stop there. There is an infinite material to learn, and even the most incredible photographers can still learn a lot. So stay tuned to the blog since I will continue to learn and tell you about it here.
